The university’s Psychology building required a refurbishment of its education facilities including classroom refurbishments and new glass partitions.
The main objective was to upgrade the mechanical and electrical facilities within the project area and improve the acoustics from room to room. The team achieved this by replacing the ceiling tiles and floor tiles to help with the acoustics. New fire-rated and acoustic partitions were installed in new locations to alter the overall layout of the space and maximise it’s potential.
Extensive acoustic treatment was carried out to existing walls and new walls to help better soundproof the rooms. The carpet, blinds and ceiling tiles installed were all in consideration to reduce echo and create a more soundproofed room.
Simple changes in the classroom can really help to change students’ attitude towards learning.
